7242015: 1600 Quilt - Jelly Roll Race

A 1600 Jelly Roll Quilt is a really fast, easy and fun quilt to make - you only need to be able to sew straight lines!  This quilt is called the 1600 Quilt because it uses 1600" of fabric length, made up of 40 strips that are 2/5" wide by 40" long.  Any of the jelly rolls, or planks we have here in the shop will work wonderful for this quilt.

You can do a variation by adding a 2.5" x 2.5" solid square between each strip, or a 2.5" x 2.5" square sewn on the diagonal to create a triangle between each strip.

Supplies needed:

Sewing machine in good working condition.  Be sure to bring your accessory box and 1/4" foot.  Don't forget your foot pedal and power cord!  :)
One jelly roll
Extra solid fabric if you are going to do the variation - white or black solid works well for this step.
Neutral all purpose thread and about 4 bobbins
