SUPPLIES NEEDED:
5/8" fabric for main outside of bag
5/8" fabric for lining of bag
Fat quarter of coordinating fabric for bias binding
Thread to match fabric
20 x 20” of ByAnnie’s Soft and Stable or Bosal
If not using fusible Soft and Stable or Bosal, bring 505 spray or a spray
that will adhere the fabrics to the Soft and Stable
18” handbag single slider zipper
Two bobbins wound
Scissors, pins, clips, seam ripper, cutting tools, marking pin
¼” foot, walking foot and standard foot
Sewing machine in good working condition. A featherweight might not
be able to get through the thickness of bag)
if you have double sided tape, bring it
PRE-CLASS PREPARATION
To prepaare pieces for quilting, sandwich the lining (face down), soft &
stable on top, and main fabric (face up). Pin or spray with 505 to keep
layers together.
Quilt the above "sandwich" about 3/4" apart vertically from top to
bottom. I use a walking foot for this and a 90/14 topstitch needle.
Have all pieces cut out as stated in pattern in
