01142023: Beginning Quilting

3 Part Class
I teach this class using the Eleanor Burns Log Cabin Book.  It is a great reference book for this class.  I teach you how to choose fabric, color wheel info, quilting terminology, notions, how to rotary cut, how to find that perfect 1/4" seam, how to apply borders and binding.  We will be hand quilting in this class.
Entire book of handouts for you to keep and refer to.

This is a perfect class for those who have always wanted to learn to quilt.  You will be taken through every step to apply to a larger piece when finished with this class.  Lots of love and support, bring a dear friend with you or come and make some new quilting friends.  I have seen huge friendships formed from this beginning class.

Look forward to seeing you in class!!  -  hugs, Cyn

Supply List:

Required book - Make a Log Cabin / Eleanor Burns (Available at Quilters Cottage, we have them ordered for you)

Sewing machine - Please make sure your machine is in good working
condition and bring your accessory box and user manual. If you have
a ¼” quilter’s foot for your machine bring it, if you don’t have one
you may want to see if one is available for your machine and order one
according to your make and model – it really is almost a must for
quilting and if anything it makes your like so much easier!!! Talk to the
shop about this if you are confused about this foot. Make sure you
have a new needle in your machine.

preference hand quilting cotton thread. One spool each is plenty and
go ahead and wind two bobbins of your all purpose thread.  Aurifil Brand preferred

second class that is suggested. I’ll be giving you some examples and
