Sign Up Time has come, don't miss out! Rose Ann is getting the class information for the Cruise Class catalog and the class projects look fabulous! If you haven't signed up for the February 18 cruise, do so soon. The catalog will only be distributed to those who have actually signed up for the event. The first cruise letter to all guests who have signed up have already been sent out! The class catalog is scheduled to be sent out first part of September. It is coming together fast and going to be super fun as we have bunches of Prizes, Games, Cruise Bags and Fun being planned.
Here are some details that you need to know:
1) All participants need to sign up through Cruises by Al Magee - no exceptions (713-729-3040). There is an "upcharge" to the Royal Caribbean prices on the Royal Caribbean website. This upcharge pays for all of your cruise classes, contests and challenges, demos, trunk shows, lectures, goodie bags, prizes, etc.
2) The cruise class catalog is emailed out only to those who have signed up for the cruise) on September 7. Classes are filled on a first come-first served basis. If none of your chosen classes require a sewing machine, then you don't need to bring one. If any of your classes requires a sewing machine, you DO need to bring one. Any good working sewing machine with a reliable 1/4" stitch will work great. So if you have a travel sized machine that you take to classes, this is what you want to bring. You may want to bring it in a rolling case so you can get it back and forth from your cabin to the Conference Room (located Deck 2 - FORWARD). There will be a few machines available for rent at $30 per class session (3 hours).
3) Once you send in your class requests in September, and you are enrolled in the class of your choice, then you will pay for any class kits that are required. The cruise fee does not include your class kits. It is unfair to expect a student to pay the same amount if they are taking nothing but lectures, demos, etc, than someone who is taking classes that require large quilt kits. So once you are accepted in your chosen classes, you are charged for those kits.
4) All class kits will be prepared as much as possible so that all you need to do is sit down and sew! Class kits will be transported to the ship and delivered to you at the beginning of each class.
